Developed Workshops & Trainings-Consent & Cookies
This is a workshop developed by Yana Tallon-Hicks, a sex educator and relationship therapist based in Western Massachusetts, to help participants learn, practice, and pass on active consent skills in their personal lives, communities, and intimate relationships - and there are cookies involved! -Communicating Desire The goal of this workshop is to provide tools to help participants begin their journey toward confident communication surrounding desire, exploring what communication typically looks like and the barriers people face to expressing desire. This workshop includes practicing communication skills in a safe and non-sexual environment, allowing participants to discover their communication style and preferred technique. -Toys! Toys! Toys! This workshop covers all things pleasure relating to sex toys! Learn about anatomy, safe vs. unsafe toy material, and toy options in a fun environment! -Reflecting Queer and Trans Bodies & Identities in Sexuality Education In this interactive training, participants gain a better understanding of how to talk about all aspects of sexuality education, including reproductive biology, puberty, sexual health and sexual activity, in ways that represent queer and trans folks. This training is for sexuality professionals, teachers, and social service providers. -Redefining Sex-Positivity Sex negativity affects all of our lives; in school, our partnerships, as service providers and recipients, as parents and as media consumers. This thought-provoking, interactive workshop explores sex negativity, what sex-positivity is and isn't, and what role we can all play in creating less shame, less judgement and more justice. -Sex-Positivity For Inclusive Social Service Practice This training incorporates activities from the 'Redefining Sex-Positivity' workshop while adding a larger component of exploring practical skills to use in our work with clients and customers in order to be more sex-positive. |
